All about the Corso di introduzione alle vie lunghe.

The Introduction to Long Routes Course is divided into three outdoor outings, at crags and on multi-pitch routes in Tuscany. The aim of the course is to introduce climbing on multi-pitch routes.
The first outing will take place at the crag and will focus on progression as lead climber, belaying manoeuvres, abseiling and belaying with various types of brakes. We will then apply the illustrated progression techniques on specially selected long routes.
The course will be held exclusively by Alpine Guides, professionals qualified to teach and lead people in the mountains, on all Alpine terrains.
The course is open to those who already have some experience in sport climbing.

The minimum number of participants to start the activity is 4 persons.

First exit 25/10/2026

The first outing will take place at a crag (to be chosen depending on temperatures and weather conditions): we will focus on technical climbing progression and the ability to go as lead climbers. We will also look at roped progression and its basics, (setting up a belay, drying methods) and abseiling.
Second exit 1/11/2026

We will climb a multi-pitch route on the Cresta degli Bimbi in the southern Apuan Alps. During this outing, each mountain guide will only accompany two participants. We will put into practice the notions learnt during the first lesson: belaying methods, belays, rappels, etc.
Third exit 8/11/2026

We’ll be climbing the Cresta degli Abbacchiati on the Pilastri di Setriana.
Also on this outing, each mountain guide will only accompany two participants. We will deepen the contents already covered in the first outings in order to acquire autonomy.
