Alpinism and multipitch routes

A classic winter route in the Panie group. The difficulties are relatively easy, except on the delicate final pitch, but are rather variable with the conditions; in icy snow, the route can prove challenging.

The Pania della Croce on the south-west slope is furrowed by the canale dei Carrubi, almost 900 metres high. The gully is deeply sunken and retains its snowy bottom for a long time, offering a rewarding and challenging ascent. Great winter classic
