Switzerland, Wenden
'Switzerland',by Rolando Larcher and Roberto Vigiani
On 26/05, 10/07 and 11/09 2006 Rolando Larcher and Roberto Vigiani opened 'La Svizzera', Mahren, Wenden.
On the leftmost, overhanging and lonely wall, the Mahren, there is now 'Switzerland'. I didn't think there was any room left, but the line was there, beautiful and ambitiouscharacteristics required by the "Award-winning company'.
So last year, quickly, in just three challenging outings, (there are 500 km separating us from the wall), we managed to get to the bottom of this beautiful jutting wall.
The historical atmosphere of Wenden gave us even more responsibility and motivation than usual, pushing us to give our best.
Thanks to this and the recent run-in in Sardinia, with Mezzogiorno di Fuoco at Giradili, we were able to open a very aesthetic route, particularly severe and psychologicalfor the parsimony of the bolts present. It may not have the peaks of maximum difficulty and obligatory of our other achievements, but it certainly requires the utmost concentration right to the top.
