Trekking is one of the disciplines loved and practised by our team, especially in adventurous terrain, ridges and via ferratas specific accompanying terrain of an Alpine Guide.

There are many proposals already on the calendar, some very special ones scheduled for next September: It may seem early to you, but these treks deserve thought and careful preparation, so we invite you to view them in good time (a good opportunity with the Easter holidays and the somewhat uncertain weather!) and possibly ask our Specialist guide, Pasquale Equizi, every detail that you consider in depth.
Have fun in safety with Prorockoutdoor Mountain Guides!

We remind you now our ferrate in the calendara somewhat more challenging way to reach the summit than trekking:

two introductory days in May :

a beautiful adventure at the end of August:

Here is some information for programmes from September to November

The first in order of time is a lungo weekend of trekking and yoga in our Apuan Alps, Pasquale is not only an expert Alpine Guide but also a teacher of Iyengar Yoga!
Three days of Iyengar Yoga practice and hiking at the Forte dei Marmi refuge at the foot of Mount Procinto. The stage is aimed at beginners and practitioners of the two activities, and is held by Pasquale Equizi, Iyengar Yoga teacher and Alpine Guide. A practitioner since 1978, he studied with Dona Holleman, Gabriella Giubilaro and in India with B.K.S. Iyengar from whom he received his teaching certification. In 1990 he was one of the founders of the Association 'Light on Yoga Italia'.
Confirmation no later than 20 August 2024

Another fantastic 'wild' trek is from 16-23 September: The Wild Blue, precisely, in Sardinia which winds along the Baunei coastline, along shepherds' paths through log ladders, cliffs, spectacular rocks, ancient sheepfolds, centuries-old holm-oak forests, Mediterranean maquis, white beaches and unspoilt creeks.
The paths always used by shepherds crossed the Supramonte in every direction but were (and are) extremely difficult to locate and follow because they are poorly travelled and mostly reduced to thin goat tracks. This is perhaps the most remarkable charm of Selvaggio Blu: the need to constantly orient oneself in an overpowering and extraordinary nature where the only point of reference is the blue sea!
It consists of a seven-day walk starting from Pedralonga and ending at Cala Sisine.
Trained hikers who are used to walking with a rucksack can participate in the trek. In any case, it is a demanding route that presents some mountaineering difficulties. There are a few easy climbing stretches and some abseiling that can be overcome even by those who have never climbed, only if accompanied by a mountain guide. The height differences are not excessive, but the roughness of the terrain and the orientation difficulties mean that the stages are never short. Depots for food, water and luggage for overnight stays will be prepared in advance along the route by the organisation.
confirmation by 30 July 2024.

And finally, our real non-European adventure: Pasquale returns again to Nepalafter many adventures in this wonderful part of the world.

Here is an extensive report of the trip last November 2023:

This year Pasquale proposes Trekking to Everest Base Camp next November 2024
The trek to Everest Base Camp, or Sagarmatha, "mother goddess of the earth", often constitutes the dream par excellence of hikers: a great classic that is on average demanding in terms of physical effort and time required, but no less spectacular than others in terms of views and altitudes reached. The route goes up the Khumbu valley, populated by different ethnic groups of Tibetan origin and Buddhist faith, here the most majestic mountains of the Himalaya chain, the highest on the planet, are concentrated. On the return from Base Camp, after reaching the 5545 m of Kala Pattar, we will be sufficiently acclimatised to climb the 5550 m of Chukhung Ri, again in the presence of Everest (8848 m), Lhotse (8414 m), Nuptse (7861 m), Pumori (7165 m) and Ama Dablam (6856 m).
A large part of the trek takes place within the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO protected site inhabited by numerous species of wild animals such as musk deer, red pandas, snow leopards, bears and pheasants.
The high part of the itinerary reaches altitudes of a certain prominence that exceed 5,000 metres, so it is essential to prepare for the trek with a good workout even at altitude and to be in an optimal physical condition to be able to fully enjoy every moment and to be able to face the difficulties that we might encounter with confidence.

Nepal's history is lost in time, ever since the first migrations led tribes to move into and settle in these remote valleys. Of these, the most notable is surely that of the Sherpa, a people who gave themselves this name to distinguish themselves from the other Nepalese peoples from Tibet (shar-pa means men from the east). Their congenital adaptation to altitude and the fact that they live at the foot of the great Himalayan peaks meant that they were identified as the porters par excellence. A unique people in the world characterised not only by their impressive physical endowments but also by a particularly generous and hospitable culture, for them it is not material wealth that counts, but the ability to empathise with their fellow human beings and respect for human dignity.
