Cristiano Virgilio
Mountain Guide
Born in Florence in 1969, he was aspiring Guide from 2000, then Alpine Guide and since 2016 National Guide Instructor. He began climbing at twelve and it immediately became so important to him that he decided to make it his profession.
After achieving a degree in Philosophy, he worked in various jobs but gradually made his dream come true by becoming a National Guide Instructor in 2016.
In over 35 years climbing he has gained experience in all aspects of mountaineering but his main love is for rock and ice climbing.
In 2013 he went to Nepal for the first time, taking part in an expedition on Manaslu, one of the 14 eight thousand meters in the world.
In theese years he has always climbed, with or without clients, in the Alpi Apuane, his local mountains, in all seasons, and this is mainly where he works.
His mountaineering, his profession, has been enriched over the years, with the human element shared with his clients, for him this is the prime objective of his work.
